In addition to physical symptoms, acne sufferers often present psychological symptoms related to the condition like depression, stress, and low self-esteem. Prevent Pimples – An Ounce of Prevention

Everyone at some point or the other gets these annoying pimples. They present no danger to your health but greatly affect your looks and appearance. It is possible to prevent pimples when you know their cause.

There are natural oil glands in the skin which maintain the skin’s health. There are times like during puberty or during menstrual activity when hormonal changes cause these oil glands to become more active. This may cause skin cells to stick together, form some debris and block the pores. Now there are bacteria which live naturally in the skin but when there is such blockage, they feed on the oil and form a pimple.

When you understand this, you can prevent pimples by preventing pore blockage or killing bacteria. You cannot do much about the oil secretion because that is a normal function of the skin glands.

I have found the following four activities to help significantly to prevent pimples from appearing
1. Wash your face with a mild soap 2-3 times in a day
2. Use a mild cleansing product once a day
3. Use a commercial face mask or a homemade mask once a week to remove dead cells.
4. Drink a lot of water during the day

When you see the sign of a pimple developing, you can immediately apply an anti-pimple cream containing benzoyl peroxide which kills the bacteria. You can also prepare some home made remedies using honey or lemon which also kill the bacteria.

Since you cannot prevent pimples by reducing the oil secretion from your skin, you can try get rid of the excess oil using a gentle astringent or a mask containing sulfur. You can also switch to using water based make-up creams instead of oil-based ones.

If pimples still appear despite all you have done to prevent pimples, then you can apply some topical medication containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. The doctor can prescribe oral antibiotics but they might cause reactions if you are allergic to them.

Acne Pimple Home Remedies

Acne  Pimples are a common problem in youth. Many young men and women fuss and fret over their pimples. You get pimples because of hormonal changes. Around the time when body hair starts growing; your skin starts to release oily stuff called sebum. It is a sticky thing and holds hair or dead skin cells leading to blockage of the hair follicle. Skin bacteria accumulate in this and create a pimple.

When the sebum breaks through your skin, it is seen as a white liquid, hence the name whitehead. When they turn black, they are known as blackheads. You can easily treat acne at home and there are many remedies available. I have some simple acne pimple home remedies.

  1. Mix fresh lime juice with groundnut oil in a 50:50 ratio. Apply this to your face. Lemon is known to be an effective remedy for acne
  2. Grind some drumstick pods and leaves and mix them with fresh lime juice. Apply this on the pimples.
  3. Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder and apply it on the pimples before going to bed. Keep it for the night and wash it with warm water in the morning. Repeat this every night for 2 weeks and you will never have pimples again.
  4. One of the good acne pimple home remedies is mint juice. It is also known for treating various skin infections. Apply it in the evening and leave it for the night.
  5. Grind some sesame seeds and prepare a paste by adding water. Apply this on the affected areas for 30 minutes. This is also effective in treating rashes and allergies.

Pimples can go and later come back. So it is important to keep your skin free of any clogging. Use a good water based cleanser and moisturizer. You can also use some sulfur based face masks, which are quite effective in removing dead skin cells. If your problem does not go away with any of these acne pimple home remedies, then you must consult a skin specialist or dermatologist.

Have you tried Acnezine? Acnezine works from the inside out, and it’s one product that I really swear by!

What Causes Pimples – Pimple Fiction and Pimple Facts

Everyone has an opinion on what causes a pimple. So what do you think is fact, and what could be considered fiction?

Pimple Fiction

Makeup – We’ve all heard so many stories about makeup that causes pimples. The simple truth is that wearing makeup is not what causes pimples. Makeup might contribute to pimples, especially if you don’t practice good cleansing habits after wearing makeup. There is a great variety of makeup made especially for those pimple prone.

Chocolate – Some people are convinced that eating chocolate or greasy food is one of the major causes of pimples. In fact, no studies have been able to prove that chocolate causes pimples. If you think that chocolate has caused your pimples, stop eating it and see if your pimples clear up.

Popping Pimples – Sometimes people will pop pimples thinking that this will speed up the healing. Actually, what happens when you pop a pimple is that yo uspread the bacteria and increase the risk of scarring.

Overwashing your Face – Keeping your face clean is paramount to preventing pimples, but washing it too much can cause dry skin and irritation. Irritated skin is is more prone to pimple breakouts.

Overusing Medication – Ever heard the saying that less is more? Too much medication can also irritate your skin and cause it to dry out. Not only will you have dry irritated skin, but now your sore skin is more likely to have a pimple outbreak.

Pimple Facts

Pimples are a skin disease. Why one person will get a pimple and another one doesn’t is unknow. There are many different things that can bring on a pimple, and these include hormones, pregnancy, antibiotics and stress. Genes also factor into the equation.

First, you have to decide what type of pimple outbreak you have. Is it one pimple? Do you have several clustered in one area? What is going on in your life? This will help to determine the cause of the pimple. You can have one pimple or many pimples, and this will determine which treatment you choose.

Pimples on My Back – What a Pain in the Neck!

My skin is oily and therefore I am used to getting pimples. There were pimples on my face since I went to college and many of my classmates used to pick on me. When I got pimples on my back, it was even worse. It was difficult to sleep and it was difficult to clean them during my shower or bath. Trying to see them in the mirror was quite literally a pain in the neck.

First, I used the same medication I was using for my face. It contained 1% salicylic acid. But that increased the irritation and my back became all reddened. I also started feeling drowsiness and nausea. So I stopped that. There are other medications containing benzoyl peroxide but they also produce side effects so I did not want to try them.

Afterwards, I tried various home remedies like using tomatoes and lemons and honey but they only had little effect. I can swear that it was far easier to apply a remedy on my face than on the pimples on my back. It got all messy while sleeping. Can you imagine that kind of sticky goo on your back??

Then one of my friends suggested that Is change my soap. She was using orange papaya soap with great effect on her own pimples. I tried the same soap but had no effect. However, I decided to try a different soap to see if that would work. After trying several soaps, what finally worked for me was sulfur soap. It was such a relief to see the pimples on my back go away.

I will suggest you that if home remedies do not work, you can also try changing your soap. Not all soaps will have the same effect, so it is important to try out various soaps before you can find the right one for your skin type. You must also make sure that you keep your back dry and clean. Drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water every single day is also important, as that keeps the body clean from toxins.

Pimple Medicine – Sometimes You Gotta Go to the Doctor!

Pimples are ugly and annoying. Although they mostly affect the face, many people get them on the arms and back also. Pimples need to be treated because they make you look less beautiful. Many teenagers are constantly fussing about their pimples and want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

Pimples are caused by bacteria accumulated in a skin pore, usually a hair follicle. There are many varieties of them, some white, some black and others red or brown. It depends on how deep inside the skin they are formed.

Although you can try out several home remedies which are quite effective, you might need to take pimple medicine in severe cases. A skin doctor might prescribe you an antibiotic or anti-bacterial, such as erythromycin or sulfacetamide which has to be applied topically, but you can have side effects like yellowing of teeth or cramps in the stomach. Moreover, the pimple bacteria have grown more resistant to such medication.

Another commonly prescribed pimple medicine that you can try is retinoids,  which are effective in removing the skin clogs. But they might cause skin irritation for some people. You can ask your physician if you need any oral antibiotics to supplement your immune system in general.

By far, the best pimple medicine is isotretinoin. This is most suitable when your pimples do not go away whatever you do, or when you have pimples coming constantly. Isotretinoin will eliminate the pimples once and for all. However, if you use it to treat mild cases of pimples; then it does not have a permanent effect because the pimples might come back. It does not have any side effects except the occasional dry lips, but you must take it only under medical supervision.

It is even possible to remove your pimples using a laser. The doctors will point the laser on your pimples and kill the bacteria. So far, the treatment seems to be safe and fast. It is really amazing what medical technology can achieve!  If the doctor prescribes it for you, make sure to follow his directions for your pimple medicine.

Back Pimples and Butt Pimples

Acne pimples on your back and butt isn’t hereditary like facial acne is, so there’s no way that we can predict if we’re going to have it.

If your back has large pores, you’re probably more likely to have back acne pimples than your friends with smaller pores. And the bad news is that the skin on our back and backside is thicker than the skin on our face. Thicker skin means that the acne pimples will be deeper, and harder to clear up. Overnight Pimple – When You Least Expect It!

I bet you got your first pimple about that same time that I did. I got my first pimple when I was sixteen. There it was, shamelessly protruding from the center of my left cheek, having appeared overnight! It meant that I was becoming an adult – well that is what my grandmother said. Ha! Were you as embarrassed as I was to get that first pimple?

Pimples are a result of hormonal changes during the teenage years and they trouble almost everyone. Oil glands in the skin start secreting more oil which causes dead skin cells to stick together and block the pores. This allows bacteria to thrive in these blockages and leads to the development of pus. Sometimes you might be taken aback by a sudden overnight pimple growth when you look at the mirror in the morning. However, it will not help you if you panic.

Some say that the condition is hereditary. If your mom or dad had pimples, then your chance of having them increases. The most important thing is not to burst them. If you do, then the oil is pushed deeper into the skin and the pimple might become a cyst. Also, it might leave a permanent mark on your skin, which obviously you don’t want. You need to apply the right medication and also take some preventive measures.

You need to keep applying the pimple cream regularly till the pimple clears away. Use a cream with benzoyl peroxide after cleaning the affected area. This will kill the bacteria that cause pimples.

There are both strong creams and mild creams depending on the concentration of benzoyl peroxide. Since benzoyl peroxide is a bleaching agent, it leaves the skin dry after application. So make sure you apply some moisturizer afterwards. Over-use of benzoyl peroxide also increases the amount of free radicals in the skin, which can accelerate aging symptoms. I will suggest that you start with a milder cream first.

To prevent further growth of pimples, you must drink a lot of water. Water helps to remove toxins from the body and keeps the skin hydrated. Also avoid using oil based cosmetics and moisturizers.

I also recommend that you use Acnezine. I’ve been using Acnezine for over a year now, and it has drastically reduced my horror of waking up with an overnight pimple outbreak. I rarely have to get up in the morning and utter a few choice words because there’s another dang pimple!

Acnezine is very unique, as it helps eliminate blackheads, which as we all know cause pimples! Acnezine helps to relieve the embarrassment of overnight pimple outbreaks, and is a total skin care system working from the inside out.

Right now, you can get two free months of Acnezine absolutely free! Click here for all the details!

Scalp Pimples – When Acne Pimples go to your Head

Scalp pimples are usually small inflamed areas around your hair follicles. Scalp pimples are a little different from the pimples that you get on your face.

Oil glands on your scalp open up into the hair follicles, and you can get a little bit of inflammation around the hair follicle. The pimples that form aren’t true pimples like you get on your face; they’re known as folliculitis (fancy name) or just an inflamed hair follicle. Read the rest of this entry »

Tips for a Simple Pimple Solution

We all know that it’s fairly easy to find a pimple solution, but finding just the right treatment for you is what really matters. Finding the right simple pimple solution will make you look better, which in turn will raise your self esteem!

There are several different types of acne pimples. The most common type that everyone refers to as a pimple is usually a whitehead, but there are also others. Blackheads, nodules, pustules, papules and cysts are all types of pimples. Did you know that nearly 17 million people in the US alone have pimples??

Many things contribute to pimples, including hormone surges during the teen years, pregnancy hormone changes, even birth control pills can contribute to pimples! Heredity, greasy makeup and poor hygiene can all add to a pimple problem, and then you’re forced to find a pimple solution!

Home remedies abound; some people use raw apple cider vinegar, which works best if you haven’t already irritated your skin with harsh soaps or strong pimple medications. Another helpful remedy that will work for almost everyone is to use ice, which will reduce the swelling and redness in pimples.

Make sure that any makeup that you use is oil free, as well as moisturizers that you use. You need to keep your skin moisturized, as most pimple solutions will contain a drying agent which of course causes dry skin.

You should also use a weekly facial mask to help clear up your pimples and keep your skin fresh. A nice natural mask to use is to mix cornstarch, egg whites and milk of magnesia together, and let it remain on your skin for about ten minutes. The cleanse with a mild soap, and use an oil free moisturizer.

Always make sure to eat a good, healthy diet and avoid junk food as much as possible. I know we all love to eat it, but it doesn’t do much to contribute to our health!

Make you sure that you do some research on the different pimple solutions which are available and choose the best one for you. Follow a simple pimple solution to obtain the best results!
