Pimple Medicine – Sometimes You Gotta Go to the Doctor!
Pimples are ugly and annoying. Although they mostly affect the face, many people get them on the arms and back also. Pimples need to be treated because they make you look less beautiful. Many teenagers are constantly fussing about their pimples and want to get rid of them as soon as possible.
Pimples are caused by bacteria accumulated in a skin pore, usually a hair follicle. There are many varieties of them, some white, some black and others red or brown. It depends on how deep inside the skin they are formed.
Although you can try out several home remedies which are quite effective, you might need to take pimple medicine in severe cases. A skin doctor might prescribe you an antibiotic or anti-bacterial, such as erythromycin or sulfacetamide which has to be applied topically, but you can have side effects like yellowing of teeth or cramps in the stomach. Moreover, the pimple bacteria have grown more resistant to such medication.
Another commonly prescribed pimple medicine that you can try is retinoids, which are effective in removing the skin clogs. But they might cause skin irritation for some people. You can ask your physician if you need any oral antibiotics to supplement your immune system in general.
By far, the best pimple medicine is isotretinoin. This is most suitable when your pimples do not go away whatever you do, or when you have pimples coming constantly. Isotretinoin will eliminate the pimples once and for all. However, if you use it to treat mild cases of pimples; then it does not have a permanent effect because the pimples might come back. It does not have any side effects except the occasional dry lips, but you must take it only under medical supervision.
It is even possible to remove your pimples using a laser. The doctors will point the laser on your pimples and kill the bacteria. So far, the treatment seems to be safe and fast. It is really amazing what medical technology can achieve! If the doctor prescribes it for you, make sure to follow his directions for your pimple medicine.
Back Pimples and Butt Pimples
Acne pimples on your back and butt isn’t hereditary like facial acne is, so there’s no way that we can predict if we’re going to have it.
If your back has large pores, you’re probably more likely to have back acne pimples than your friends with smaller pores. And the bad news is that the skin on our back and backside is thicker than the skin on our face. Thicker skin means that the acne pimples will be deeper, and harder to clear up.
